best or worst impulse buy of my life?
(i originally had the “tumblr question” feature enabled for this post, but then decided that i prefer good old fashioned disqus comments.)
i hadn’t heard of toms shoes before this weekend—at&t has a tv ad that features them. the company sounds pretty cool:
“TOMS Shoes was founded on a simple premise: For every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need. One for One. Using the purchasing power of individuals to benefit the greater good is what we’re all about.”
in the process of writing this post, i got cold feet (hardy har har) and decided that i need to mull over this potential purchase a little longer. i think i’ll probably go through with it though—the proposition of looking a little ridiculous and helping to save the world in the same blow sounds good to me.
