extra pickles

other vices: busch light, dance floors
the DC crew and i have been dancing a lot lately.  the age-old weekend question of “what should we do tonight?” has narrowed in scope to “where are we dancing tonight?”
dancing being a priority, we split time between the best moving cohorts in any city—the gays and the hipster / indie / club-going kids (sometimes one and the same?).  both groups have:

some fun bars: fab lounge, dc9, town, the black cat

some wild dance parties: mixtape (top pic), kids (bottom pic—can you find me?), taint, homo/sonic, bliss

some good websites: thenewgay.net, brightestyoungthings.com.

it’s different than my past dancing life, which consisted of going to the likes of mad river or fado or big city tap and giving a few fist pumps when “don’t stop believing” came on.  really different.  but really fun.
i can’t say the increase in activity has done much to improve my skills (this kid would school me).  but that’s fine—i don’t have much shame once i get a few in me.  and i do bring to the floor arguably one of the most entrancing dance faces you’ll ever see.
