a great thing about living in the mid-atlantic / northeast is that some pretty sweet cities are pretty close together. the bus ride to new york is quite a bit farther from DC than it was from philly, but i still get up there a fair amount (maybe 4 times in the past 6 months?).
brad lives around the east village / alphabet city / lower east side. it’s great. tons of quality places (artichoke, zum schneider) and even more guilty pleasures (sin sin, continental, the delancey, la caverna, papaya dog).
one of the best things about brad’s apartment complex is that it has legitimate bocce courts. it wasn’t quite spring weather yet, but we got some games in 2 weekends ago. brad and jason think they’re god’s gift to bocce. adam and i pulled off an amazing come-from-behind win, though, and put them in their place. temporarily, at least, until they won the next 2 games.
